Q: If a lead responds to my invite, will they still receive follow-up messages?
A: In some cases, a lead may still receive follow-up messages even after responding to your invite. However, Growth-X provides features and best practices to prevent this unless it’s your intention.
How to Avoid Sending Follow-Up Messages to Responders
Use the "Exclude Responders from Follow-Ups" Feature:
In the Campaign Settings, enable the "Exclude responders from follow-ups" option.
With this feature turned on, Growth-X automatically stops follow-up and second follow-up messages from being sent to leads who respond to your invite and start chatting with you.
This allows you to tailor your response to the lead’s specific interest or question, instead of sending an automated message.
Important: Disabling this option will send follow-up messages to all leads, including those who have already responded. This may result in a disconnect between the automated message and the ongoing conversation.
2. Avoid Manually Archiving Conversations in LinkedIn:
Growth-X relies on scanning responses to identify leads who have replied and exclude them from receiving follow-ups.
If you manually move a conversation to the Archive folder in your Sales Navigator inbox, the system won’t be able to detect the reply, and the lead may still receive a follow-up message.
Let the system manage the conversation automatically to ensure proper scanning and sequence adjustments.
Best Practices
Keep the "Exclude Responders from Follow-Ups" button enabled to maintain personalized communication with leads who show interest.
Avoid manually moving conversations to the Archive folder to allow the system to track replies accurately.
Regularly review campaign settings to ensure automation aligns with your outreach goals.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure your communication remains relevant and engaging while preventing unnecessary or repetitive follow-ups to leads who’ve already responded.
