Squid is a visitor tracking platform that works similarly to RB2B. You can integrate Squid with Growth-X to funnel website visitors into your Acquisition campaigns and trigger automated outreach based on visitor activity.

What You’ll Need

  • A Growth-X account with access to Acquisition campaigns

  • Access to your Squid dashboard

  • A website connected to Squid

  • A ready Growth-X campaign (or plan to set one up)

Step 1: Get the Webhook URL from Growth-X

  • Go to Campaign Dashboard →Acquisition.

  • Name your campaign (e.g., Website visitors).

  • Select Website visitors via Squid from the source list.

  • Click Configure.

  • Copy the Webhook URL that appears.

You can also access the same webhook URL and configuration under:

Growth-X → Integrations → Squid

This provides a more centralized view of all active integrations

Step 2: Set Up the Connection in Squid

  1. Open your Squid dashboard.

  2. Choose the website where you want to track visitors.

  3. Go to ConnectionsGrowth-X.

  4. Paste the Webhook URL from Growth-X.

  5. Click Save.

That’s it! Your integration is now Live.

Setting Up Your Campaign

Once your integration is active:

  • Set your invite message and follow-up messages in the campaign editor.

  • Define your campaign sequence just as you would for other lead sources.

📌 Understanding Squid Signal Types

Squid allows flexibility in defining when to send visitor data to Growth-X using the following event signals:

Event Type

Trigger Description

visitor

Fires when a visitor is identified (e.g., through form fills or tracking)

page event

Fires when a visitor lands on a specific page

click event

Fires when a user clicks on a specified element (e.g., button or link)

You can choose to use one or more signals depending on your campaign goals. For example:

  1. Use visitor for personalized, high-intent targeting.

  2. Use page event to retarget landing page visitors.

  3. Use click event for tracking button-level engagement.
